Wow, I just read your ’77 profile in Alternate magazine. I’m super interested in yer views on gay femininity now. What do you think Halperin’s thesis?

Jonny–You mean stashing your butch gay persona back in the closet and letting your femme freak flag fly? Everybody’s entitled to his opinion; I guess that’s Halperin’s. I’m more of a fan of Mr. V’s “fluidity,” i.e. sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t.
