Wow, what a powerful story. Thanks for sharing. My heart goes out to Shane and the rest of his family for their tragic loss. It appears as though the bonds of Shane’s family and friends will most certainly help him cope, adjust and accept. I commend Shane for putting a voice and face on ignorance. It goes to the heart of the matter – simple equality and justice. All I can feel for Tom’s family is pity. Shane could be such a comfort and blessing to them. Their grief will always be compounded by their lack of respect and tolerance (dare I say love?) of who their son was. How truly sad for them.
We have the EXTRA legal documents required in Ohio to prevent this from happening to us. But we have gotten tired of being a political football and wedge issue. 30 years of being a second class citizen has taken its toll on us and we are moving to Maryland to get away from the Dark Ages that allow this crap to happen.

How very sad but how did he accidentally fall off the roof? I wonder if his bastard father snuck into town and pushed him.

A friend showed this to me on his website, but it’s good seeing other people are getting the word out. Thanks, Mr. Gage.
