Poll: GOP Majority Says Obama Wants Global Islamic Law, Sympathizes With Islamic Fundamentalism

From the  Comments section:

Just goes to show you that that statistics on the state of education in the U.S. are right. We are 12th in the world now in HS graduates. Our drop out rates are stunning. Our students leave HS without the skills to be trained for the workforce. And this is just the final bit of evidence that shows that we are not teaching critical thinking skills.  –dr.louise

Chase Whiteside on the Beck Rally:

While the speaker list was diverse, the overwhelmingly white crowd expressed paranoid and conspiratorial fears of multiculturalism — that atheists or black liberation theologists or radical Muslims or “free-loading” Latinos were going to ruin our country. There was the constant suggestion that white Christians and their way of life are somehow under assault, and that the attendees of this rally were here to put an end to it and return the country to what it used to be.

  1. I don’t know any little ditties about November, or I’d sing one.

I saw a lot of the ahem…rally, it was very very disconcerting to see Palin somber as though she was somehow actually trying to restore or save anything.

But I tend to agree with many who say this, like all events in our country these days willl pass quickly, replaced by another event, the crisis of the week, the twitter of the day, the trend of the hour.
