Just goes to show you that that statistics on the state of education in the U.S. are right. We are 12th in the world now in HS graduates. Our drop out rates are stunning. Our students leave HS without the skills to be trained for the workforce. And this is just the final bit of evidence that shows that we are not teaching critical thinking skills. –dr.louise
Chase Whiteside on the Beck Rally:
While the speaker list was diverse, the overwhelmingly white crowd expressed paranoid and conspiratorial fears of multiculturalism — that atheists or black liberation theologists or radical Muslims or “free-loading” Latinos were going to ruin our country. There was the constant suggestion that white Christians and their way of life are somehow under assault, and that the attendees of this rally were here to put an end to it and return the country to what it used to be.
In a transparent ploy to appeal to the teabaggers backing his GOP Senate opponent Marco Rubio, Florida Gov. Charlie “Closet Case” Crist told CNN that he supports amending the U.S. Constitution to ban same-sex marriage.
“When it comes to marriage, I think it is a sacred institution, I believe it is between a man and a woman,but partners living together, you know, I don’t have a problem with it. It’s just how I feel.”
Cue the ex-boyfriends to come forward and bring him down: 3, 2, 1…
